"One thing I do: forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14

As a Competitor, your goal is to focus – every time – every second.  The one thing you need to do is GET FOCUSED. Nothing else matters except for this one thing. With an undying, unwavering commitment, every athlete needs to seize the moment. Forget the past. Press on. Move out. Grip the future with reckless abandonment. Whatever it takes, pursue the prize with a passion unknown to mankind. Dig deep into your soul and with all the desire, discipline, dedication, and destination you can produce, run toward the prize. Your single goal is to glorify your God. With everything you have, pursue Jesus Christ in all you do. On and off the field of competition, your focus is Jesus Christ.

At the 2008 FCA Camp, you will be challenged to GET FOCUSED in all areas of your life. Your Camp experience will be life-changing. One of those weeks that will mark you for the rest of your days! Don’t miss out.

Each day at Camp, we will unpack these powerful principles that will shape you as an athlete:

Day 1 - DESIRE  Desire to know Him (Phil. 3:7-11)
Day 2 - DISCIPLINE Discipline to trust and respond to Him (Phil. 3:12-14)
Day 3 - DEDICATION Dedication to follow Him (Phil. 3:15-17)
Day 4 - DESTINATION Destination to be with Him (Phil 3:18-21)

Join us at FCA Camp in 2008!

Atlanta Area Team Camps are off to a great start. We just completed a very successful second year of FCA Girls Team Basketball and Team Softball at the University of West Georgia .  This year we were excited to add Team Tennis.  Most of the teams came from the Atlanta area, but we also had a basketball team from South GA and a softball team from Central FL.  Other Team FCA Camps were also held at Starr's Mill and Whitewater High School for Girl's Tennis, Volleyball, Softball and Cheerleading.

Guest speakers at the UWG Team Camps included Robyn Slain, a professional basketball handler who amazed us with her ball handling, juggling, dribbling skills that included spinning 10 basketballs at one time.  Robyn ended her message spinning a basketball on her Bible as she challenged all of us to make Jesus the center of our lives and balance everything on Him; Katie Feenstra, 6'8” center with the WNBA Atlanta Dream shared testimony of how God has worked in her life to make playing in the WNBA a reality when others said it wouldn't happen; and Shanta Smith, former GA Tech track standout, cancer survivor and founder of Spoiled By God challenged the girls to be true godly women. Dona Banks, longtime FCA Huddle Coach and Freda Doxey, Chaplain for the Atlanta Dream were morning chapel speakers who helped us to “Get Focused” on Jesus at the start of our day and were followed by a young up and coming band from Marietta, “This Time Tomorrow” .

  • Coaches Comments:
“…most of the girls on my team do not attend church; FCA camp is the only church they get and he would be bringing them every year we have the camp because he sees the difference it makes in their lives.”
  • “This camp has been a blessing!  I look forward to bringing my athletes back again next year!”
  • “Evening chapel services were fantastic - speakers were great - my team really enjoyed chapel services and team huddle time.”
